Experience winter at its most beautiful – that’s what we’re doing in Flachau. Where snow crystals glisten in the morning sun, the white splendor envelops the landscape. This is exactly where a lot of winter adventures are waiting for our guests, who long for a winter wonderland. When following on, pull on the slopes & while swinging skis over to the next valley.
At the cross-country ski trail with momentum and full of vigour, or during winter hiking, when the breath white steams in the clinking cold winter air and the sun’s rays tickle the tip of the nose. This is winter with us.
Slopes magic while skiing & snowboarding
270 modern lifts, 760 perfectly groomed kilometres of pistes – that’s what pure Pistengaudi sounds like! World Cup tracks, carving and pleasure descents, family slopes as well as adventurous freestyle and snow parks attract winter sports enthusiasts to the slopes! Absolutely top: With just one lift ticket, five ski resorts in Austria’s largest ski region, the Sportwelt amadé, are at your disposal! Three of them are located in front of our rear-tube shop front door: the Snow Space Salzburg ski area is only a 5-minute drive away, while the Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl and Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl ski areas reach their jagged distance in 6 minutes each. The only question remains: which ski area can it be today? By the way, the ski bus stops about 150 m away from the rear tube seam! So you can easily go to the ski areas and return – without a car!
Tip: If you want to perfect your stopover, just take a look at us at Almstüberl on the Shuttleberg. Pssst: From 3 p.m. on a daily basis, our famous homemade Kaiserschmarren is available – the ideal refreshment for the descent down the valley!

Pure winter wonderland for cross-country skiing
Classic cross-country skiing in the track or rather skating? Today, young and old are drawn to the track for powering out or just to make a few rounds in nature. You get into a sweat one way or another! From the easy beginner trail to the challenging high-altitude trail, you will find everything the cross-country heart desires in Flachau and the surrounding area, on 260 kilometres of trails! Tip: The 17.5 km long and medium-heavy Flachauwinklloipe leads directly past the rear tube material!

Wintertrails… because winter plays outside
Cold clear mountain air, a deeply snowy landscape and only the crunch of the steps in the snow can be heard – this is what winter hiking sounds like with us! What does it take? Not much: Good shoes, pack thick and get out into nature! 40 kilometres of cleared winter hiking trails are available in Flachau. And rustic huts invite you to stop by. What does that sound like?
Fast as a peg arrow when tobogganing
On the skids, ready, go! A tobogganing game is an absolute “must” in winter holidays! There are 4 toboggan runs with refreshments in the middle of the Salzburg mountains: toboggan run Brennhütte and Munzenhof, Sattelbauer, Winterbauer and Winklalm. No sledge? Never mind. Just rent from the hut hosts! Tip: Night tobogganing! Most toboggan runs are illuminated daily in the evenings.
Curling in the Alps
Conviviality, skill and a dose of luck – these are the ingredients for a successful curling game! Especially for you we have prepared our own illuminated curling rink with lake view right next to our restaurant in the Seestüberl. Glühwein, beer & other drinks we bring you directly to the curling rink!

Adrenaline kick pleasing? Even off piste, a diverse fun sports programme is waiting to be discovered in Flachau! Segway, Snowbike, Quad Riding, Fatbike, Snow-Rafting, Lucky Flitzer and much more guarantee a different adventure for the whole family every day!
Diving: Amadé Adventure Spa
Rest for mum and dad, fun & action for the kids – this is available in the nearby spa Amadé in Altenmarkt. The spacious sauna and wellness area offers a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. Of course, even the little bathers will not miss out: four slides, diving towers and a water climbing wall want to be tried out!
